A bit about Adriana F

I have experience privately tutoring, Primary, GCSE, and A Level Mathematics. Through a volunteer tutoring association that works remotely, using virtual classrooms (and with pupils within their school), I worked with them, both in schools and remotely, with year 7 and year 11 maths students. I am an undergraduate at the University of Bristol, studying BSc Mathematics. I have one year of studying BSc Mathematics and Physics. I have also completed a Psychology module, Social and Developmental Psychology, looking into social trends, effects of genetic and environmental factors, and atypical development in children. and My A Level qualifications include OCR MEI Mathematics, OCR Physics, OCR MEI Further Mathematics, and AQA Spanish. During my A Level study, I completed an EPQ, researching and evaluating Max Tegmark's, 'Mathematical Universe Hypothesis' and theory of consciousness. I have worked with students of different abilities and adapt to their specific needs. I specialise in teaching Mathematics and functional skills. Topics in my completed modules include: Probability, Analysis, Linear Algebra, Ordinary Differential Equations, Mechanics, and Multivariable Calculus and Complex Functions. I have also completed a Social and Developmental Psychology module, looking into social trends, effects of genetic and environmental factors, and atypical development in children. I adapt my lesson plans to the individual needs of my student. Sessions can be focussed on specific topics, functional skills, or practice of multiple topics. The schedule can include an: introductory arithmetic or otherwise suitable warm up exercise, topic specific guided examples, problems for the pupil to try with support, and reflection exercises. If necessary, breaks within sessions can be added, for example with reviews of what has been covered in the session so far or educational games. I started tutoring privately in 2019. My previous experience: MATHEMATICS TUTORING Self-employed 2019-2021 • Develop study materials, handouts, and assessments. Create a comfortable tutoring environment conducive to learning.
