A bit about Clare C

My specialist subject is English. I have a 2:1 degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Manchester. For the last year, I have been tutoring EAL children from all over the world in speaking, reading and writing. Previously I have tutored English to children from aged 3 to 17, mostly face to face. I have over 10 years of classroom teaching experience. I have always been told when observed that my teaching style is highly enthusiastic! I aim to make every lesson I teach as engaging and exciting as possible. I am also patient, kind and nurturing - building a child's confidence is key and unlocks their full potential. When I am not teaching in the classroom or tutoring, I love reading (especially really exciting books with a twist, curled up with my cat Mittens!), doing Pilates and mixed martial arts, cooking for my family and walking along the seafront - I am lucky enough to live near the coast.
