A bit about Sarah S

I deliver outstanding progress in English/Early Literacy, EAL, phonics, reading, and writing. I work predominantly with EYFS and KS1, or older students who are learning English for the first time. I am a passionate advocate for student-focussed learning; I believe all learners achieve best when they feel supported, valued, and engaged, and when they are viewed as independent and capable. A well-planned learning path is foundational to delivering this alongside responsive intentional teaching. My greatest success is when I can see a learner grow in confidence and reach their potential. There's no better feeling than seeing someone's passion and love for a subject growing every day, and leading to improved success in that area. I’m warm and approachable. My past tutees have said they find me calm and reassuring, which is lovely to hear. My teaching approach is dynamic and adaptive; each learner needs something slightly different from their teacher.
