A bit about Fiona D

I have a Bachelor of Education (Primary) which was received in 2013 in Brisbane, Australia. I have taught across all primary school years, with most experiences being in Year 5 and Year 6. I have predominantly been teaching primary schools (UKS2) for 9 years now. I have experience in KS2 SATs and past practice papers. I have lead Year 5 and 6 focus literacy and numeracy groups to close gaps through differentiation and scaffolding of tasks through small step instruction. My favourite thing about being a tutor is when you can see a student has grasped the concept you have been teaching and are becoming increasingly confident with the subject they needed help with. At the end of a session, I really love when a student is able to reteach to me a concept I have previously taught them, thus strengthening their new understanding and confidence.
