A bit about Lucy G

I have a Foundation Degree and BA (Hons) Degree in Childhood Studies. I then went on to complete my Primary Schools Direct and a PGCE and was awarded with my Qualified Teacher Status. I also hold a Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning and completed an Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Supporting Teaching and Learning. I am a qualified Primary School Teacher who would love to help you to learn! I have worked in Primary Schools for 9 years, across all year groups (years R-6), 4 of which as a Class Teacher. I have supported children with their development in all subject areas and allowed them to make excellent progress. I have a great understanding of the National Curriculum and the progression of skills covered throughout Primary Education. My favourite thing about Primary Education is supporting children with brand new concepts and leading them through the process of knowing nothing about something to having a deeper understanding. It is such a joy seeing those lightbulb moments when they understand for the first time and how proud they are of what they have achieved. I am into Fitness and Health so I make sure I eat right, go to the gym regularly and go out for walks every day. I play football for a local ladies team and I go swimming with my brother once a week. I enjoy travelling and seeing the world. I try to go away to somewhere new each time so I can learn new things about the world. I'm also very interested in Music and sing in a local community choir.
