A bit about Api R

I'm a former chemical engineer with international experience, having worked in companies such as Mitsubishi. I have tutored for around 4 years (11+, KS2, KS3 and GCSE), both online and in-person. I have a first-class master's degree in chemical engineering, and 10A*s for my GCSEs and 3A*s for my A-levels. GCSE maths (foundation and higher): AQA and Edexcel mainly, though I have helped students doing OCR and Educas. My engineering backgrounds helps me when I teach problem solving, an area which many qualified teachers struggle to teach their students. I also spend time learning new tricks in maths, and I have even helped a student with his UKMT preparation. We will go over specific topics if you need to, and then I might test you later to get a score. We will also tackle plenty of past paper questions and focus on exam techniques and shortcuts. My ability to make lessons fun, and the fact that I actually know my stuff. AQA and Edexcel mainly (foundation and higher) Chess, kdramas, reading, poetry and writing, trivia, and collecting memes Stay curious and go over misconceptions and learn from mistakes, as mistakes can teach us a lot Two students made massive improvements after being taught by me, and one student was moved into the top set Making a meaningful difference to a person's life by teaching them things I wish someone had taught me
