A bit about Emma B

I am a very experienced teacher and tutor with over 22 years experience. I have taught and tutored all age groups across KS1,2 and 3. I am experienced with tutoring learners with English as a second language, I am confident in my knowledge in English and maths especially. I specialise in year 4,5,6 in Maths and English. I can teacher lessons to build up confidence or fill any gaps in prior learning, I can also support with 7+ and 11+ preparation. My lessons are fun, engaging and pupil influenced, meaning I will plan a lesson, however, I know that there will be occasions where the learner needs to go down a different route and learn in a different way. I am highly adaptable and ensure all lessons are appropriate for the individual I am teaching. Most importantly, I am patient, warm, funny and ensure the learners are comfortable in my company. I started tutoring 3 years ago. I have tutored individuals, small groups and larger groups - face to face and online.
