A bit about Dr. Jin

I hold the Doctorate Degree in Translation Studies (PhD in the field of Linguistics (Chinese and English language and culture)) - Salford University 23 years of TCFL and TEFL teaching experience in university; over 10 years of teaching all level Chinese in the UK (GCSE;IGCSE (0509&0547);A-Level, Pre-U, IB,HSK, Chinese literature and Classical texts);Holding the national certificate of Standard Mandarin Speaking (A*)(issued by China Education Bureau), Native speaker of Mandarin. Over 8 years' supervising experience in MA & PhD Translation Studies, Education Studies. Besides teaching Chinese in all levels, I can also help students in majors of Translation Studies (BA, MA, PhD); Education Studies (BA, MA, PhD); Chinese Literature (including classical texts), Film Studies according to my Interdisciplinary research areas and 23 years' teaching experience. In my spare time, I like watching talk show programs, travelling and doing fitness activities like swimming, jogging and playing badminton. I also like gathering with my friends to try delicious food and chatting. I usually offer new student a 15 minutes trial before the teaching. Then I will make detailed teaching plan according to student's learning target and exam requirements. I prefer to use "student-centered" teaching method in my teaching by offering students my own designed learning materials as well as questions and answers based on past papers. I became a university teacher in 2000, so I have 23 years of teaching experience as a university lecturer in Linguistics (TEFL and TCFL courses, Translation Studies, Education) I have over 10 years teaching experience of Mandarin in all levels (esp. GCSE, IGCSE (three different levels), A-level, Pre-u, HSK, casual Mandarin) in the UK both as school teacher and private teacher.
