A bit about Dr Waseem

Science course leader, PhD in pharmaceutical chemistry, Fellow of the higher education academy. With a key value of quality first, my approach to tutoring is very thorough and tailored to the individual. I am very passionate about the subjects I teach and can extend this passion to anyone I teach. I can help with exam preparation, confidence-building, and grade improvement. Being a science course leader since 2016, I have extended experience in all exam boards and their specifications. I have over 12 years of experience in teaching science and maths at all levels. I am a fellow of the Higher Education Academy and have a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education and Professional Practice. I use my own teaching materials and I provide individualised support to each student based on my evaluation of their weak areas. I have limited availability on weekends only. Science and maths My approach with new students is usually to start by arranging a diagnostic session in the first class to identify strong/weak areas and then set up a plan accordingly. Once the learning gaps are identified, I will set up a personalised study plan to focus on the weak areas. My lessons will then be prepared in advance to suit the student's needs and a feedback sheet will be sent after each lesson. I will also provide homework after each lesson and feedback will be given for each homework in the following class. I started my teaching career in 2017 equipped with a degree in pharmaceutical chemistry.
