A bit about Yasmine W

I am a fully qualified teacher with over six years’ experience in teaching Mathematics under the British National Curriculum, to years 7-11. I consider myself to be a confident, punctual and social teacher and I strive to get the best out of my students. I believe it is important to teach pupils at a pace that is suitable and comfortable for them so that feel that Maths is accessible. Then work on building and developing their skill set further. I have always enjoyed helping others learn and grow, and I find it incredibly rewarding to see my students succeed. I have plenty of experience working with students as a tutor/teacher. Seeing my students improve and gain confidence in their abilities is what inspired me to pursue a career in teaching. My favourite thing about being a tutor is that I get to help pupils with their individual needs. I had a tutor growing up and whenever I felt like I was behind, my tutor would help me catch up and fill in any learning gaps or misconceptions. I aim to provide the same service to my pupils and help them build their confidence in Maths by working on their weaknesses, developing their strengths and identifying and correcting any misconceptions they may possibly have.
