A bit about Zain R

I'm a medical student at the University of Oxford, having already achieved a 2.1 in Medical Sciences and now progressing towards a bachelor's in surgery. My academic prowess is reflected in my A* grades in Maths and the three sciences at A-level, along with 19 GCSEs graded A* or A. Since 2018, I've accumulated over 1000 hours of tutoring experience. I specialise in Maths and Sciences, particularly mechanics and physics, and believe in fostering a genuine passion for the subjects in my students rather than mere rote learning. This approach, combined with my extensive academic background, ensures a comprehensive and engaging learning experience. I specialise in teaching Maths and Sciences up to A-level standards, with a particular emphasis on mechanics and physics. My robust academic achievements, including securing A* grades in both subjects at A-level and my ongoing medical studies at the University of Oxford, have provided me with a deep and comprehensive understanding of these areas. Particularly, I specialise in mechanics for physics, and explaining very simply how projectiles work. I first started tutoring in 2018, and have been tutoring since then, having over 1000 hours of tutoring experience with various firms and platforms. I first started volunteering in a private tuition firm in 2018, working as GCSE tutor, continuing as an A level tutor as an employee at the same firm. After starting University, I tutored online privately to disadvantaged students affected by the pandemic, and have gained much experience over the past 3 years as a private tutor (references available on hand) My teaching style is decidedly pupil-centred. I firmly believe in nurturing an intrinsic love for the subject rather than simply transmitting content. I strive to help students genuinely engage with and appreciate the beauty and logic behind the topics they study. By fostering this deeper connection, I aim to facilitate not just rote memorization but a comprehensive understanding and long-term retention of the material. This approach ensures that students don't just learn but also fall in love with the subject. I have already achieved a 2.1 in a bachelor’s of medical sciences and I am now working on my second bachelor’s in surgery for my complete MBBS. On top of this, having completed over 20 GCSEs and 4 A levels with all A*s/As, I have gained a lot of experience in relative mathematical and science subjects.
