A bit about Tharshan

I am a recent first-class chemistry graduate from Oxford. I have done tutoring at Pembroke College, Oxford but I first started tutoring at Explore Learning, Addiscombe. I tutored there part-time during my A-Levels. The students were from the ages of 4 to 14 and I tutored them Maths and English. I really enjoyed tutoring students there and getting to know them better as well as helping them achieve their goals! I enjoy dancing, especially South Asian dancing. I did Bhangra and Bollywood dancing at university and did numerous performances. I also enjoy non-contact ice hockey, baking and watching anime! My family is from Sri Lanka and I was born and raised in the UK. I speak Tamil at home and I know a little Japanese, German and Danish as well. I went to school in Croydon and graduated from Chemistry at Pembroke College, Oxford this year. I try to make my lessons as interactive as possible to ensure maximum enjoyment and understanding! I start of lessons with casual conversations about life and interests. This is followed by going through how confident the student feels about the topic of interest. Then I go through that topic in a way tailored to the student and at the end, go through practice questions to consolidate that knowledge. I have a Masters degree in Chemistry from Pembroke College, University of Oxford. I specialise in tutoring Chemistry and Maths. I can tutor Chemistry for GCSE, A-Level and degree level and tutor Maths for GCSE and A-level. I have lots of experience with this from MedicMind and love tutoring!
