A bit about Jenny H

I have been teaching for over 15 years. I moved to the Early Years about 5 years ago and loved it. This experience also enhances my understanding of child development and progress throughout primary, through understanding the foundations of Early education. I have also qualified as a Special Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) and so am able to provide inclusive lessons which meet the needs of all children. I love getting to know children and finding out what makes them tick and how they learn best. I love combining my strong subject knowledge with pedagogical understanding in order to see real progress in the children I teach. I am constantly taking part in further professional development to keep learning myself! I have strong GCSE and A levels, a degree in French and German (BA Hons 2:1). I completed my PGCE (with French specialism) at the University of Leicester in 2010. I completed the National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination in 2021 which qualifies me to work as a SENCo. I have also completed a CELTA qualification to teach English as a second language.
