A bit about Bex

I love working with students of all ages and abilities. I have worked in secondary schools for almost 20 years teaching History and Humanities, and more recently have taken on students for 1:1 or small group tutoring. The best thing about being a tutor is seeing confidence grow in students - supporting their development and understanding, and seeing students reach their true potential. It is a privilege to do this job. My students enjoy my caring and student-focused approach. No two students learn or develop in exactly the same way, and my approach has always been to tailor my teaching to students’ individual needs. One of the great things about tutoring is that this is so achievable in a 1:1 setting. Seeing students thrive and believe in themselves is one of the best things about my job! I am a working Mum from the southwest of England. I spent many years living and working in Liverpool but returned to my roots a few years ago! I am passionate about teaching, and love seeing students learn and develop as they gain confidence. I am from a big, close family and this is really important to me. I am a firm believer that life is about trying your best to reach your potential, whilst having as much fun as possible along the way!
