A bit about Aiyaz M

I am a qualified and experienced teacher, having taught mathematics for about 16 years at various schools, colleges and training providers. I have won commendations for having raised student achievements in short periods of time. Enabling students to learn mathematics rapidly and show evidence of this in their assessments is my passion and I get a great sense of reward out of doing so. I specialise in teaching maths in such ways that students' confidence is given a considerable boost, thus enabling them to progress significantly in maths, whether that be at primary school, secondary school or college. I introduce the topic(s) to be taught via clear objectives, i.e. learning outcomes that my students are to achieve by end of the lesson. I then interact with students to gauge gaps in their knowledge on each of the above objectives. I also ascertain what the best learning style is for each student and then use the best available resources to teach, whether that be face to face or online. I would continually observe and assess the student during the lesson, to see if they are really understanding what is being taught, and if they are not clear on the subject matter then I would explain it in alternative ways till the student's learning is consolidated.
