A bit about Rachel E

I teach in a sixth form college and specialise in Sociology A-Level and Level 3 Criminology. I currently teach the OCR board, but have vast experience of teaching and examining both OCR and AQA Sociology. My students consistently achieve high grades. I focus on helping students with exam skills in terms of what to include in their answers and how to structure responses to achieve well. I teach in an interactive way, ensuring that students are active learners and fully engaged in the activities. I am careful to regularly check learning. I have an A grade in Sociology A-Level myself and an 2:1 degree, also in Sociology. I have a PGCE in post-compulsory education and training. I have experience with Year 12 and 13 and of OCR and AQA
