A bit about Sami A

I am a first year computer science student at Cardiff university, and my favourite subjects at A level were computer science and Economics. At A level, I managed to progress from Cs and Ds in Economics to achieving an A* grade through perfecting my exam technique and 'cracking the code' of what examiners look for, and I am keen to share this knowledge with you! I am a patient and understanding tutor, and I ensure that my lessons are tailored to the specific needs of each student, and help students work towards a set goal, so each lesson feels as if progress is being made. I can also assist students with the A level computer science coursework and help with programming languages. I specialise in (OCR) A level computer science as this is my degree subject, and programming languages such as Java, python, SQL, HTML and CSS. My secondary specialism is is A level Economics as this is a subject I thoroughly enjoyed, and managed to get an A* grade in. An introductory lesson would consist of getting an idea of the current level of a student, and identifying weaker areas and gaps in knowledge, and then focussing specifically on these areas through learning theory, then applying this theory in an exam scenario. My lessons are student led, meaning each student will receive lessons tailored to their personal needs. My lessons are also exam oriented and have a focus on learning to recognise and apply the assessment objectives set by examiners, which is crucial in achieving A and A* grades.
