A bit about Salma A

A Computer Science undergraduate student and maths lover. Since, not too long ago, I was in the same boat as the students going through their GSCEs and A levels, the content and optimal revision style is still fresh to me. I understand how it feels to be in that place, and I have learnt from experience the do's and don't's to revision. Each session is tailored to the student's needs, focusing on sharpening the skills it takes to master their weaker areas in the subject. With these Maths-based subjects (Maths, Physics, Computer Science) going through a good amount of practice questions is the best way to start recognising patterns in the problems and slightly tweak the same solution to new and foreign questions. I have tutored all these subjects before and have adapted my sessions to fit each student's learning style. As an undergraduate student, I have been through GCSEs and A levels not too long ago, so the content and revision techniques are still fresh to me. Typical length for a lesson would be 1 or 2 hours. I am currently a Computer Science undergraduate student at the University of Birmingham. Previously, I achieved A*A*A at A level, and 9s at GCSE in Maths, Physics, and Computer Science respictively. In sixth form, I would tutor younger years in all of these subjects, where I was passionate about creating a welcoming environment for my students so that they have a postive attitude towards learning. I first started tutoring 3 years ago. It started off being me helping younger years at my school. Then, as my network grew, mutuals reached out to me so it became wider than just the small circle of my school. My favourite thing about this experience is forming connections with my students of all demographics, and giving them a comfortable space to learn.
