A bit about Wajiha A

I specialise in all sciences, maths and computer science. Having achieved top grades in these subjects myself, I have an excellent amount of subject knowledge in all exam boards which is reflected by my previous students attaining only grades 7-9. I am a very flexible tutor who picks up on students needs very quickly and adapts on my teaching style accordingly. However, my general teaching style is mainly in the form of a session of board work and a round of questions from the students to clarify any misunderstandings and to pin point any areas which need extra support or further clarification followed by 2 or 3 exam questions on the specific topic we are learning. My lessons will usually start with a starter question from the previous lesson to make sure that nothing has been forgotten, then teaching the topic we will be covering today, 5-10 minutes of questions from the students on what I had just gone through, from here I will either go through the topic again if I feel the student has not got a good understanding or set a task for the student to do. After the task has been completed it is reviewed and homework is set based on how they performed in the lesson. I believe my students enjoy the way I teach because they know that they are able to control the direction the lesson takes, they know that the lesson is specifically catered to help them improve so if they would like to start with something easier or harder than what I had planned for them, I will always make adjustments to ensure that they are getting the most out of the lesson.
