 As a fully qualified teacher and former Head of Spanish at a high-achieving grammar school near London, I know exactly what it takes to achieve top grades. I have over 20 years of experience in teaching ages 11- 18, and a proven track record of success. Despite the pandemic's challenges, all my A-level students still achieved A*-A grades in their exams, and my GCSE students achieved an impressive 80% grades 7-9 success rate. That's not all - this year, all my students secured their first-choice universities, and my GCSE students got into their dream 6th form colleges. So, if you're ready to join the ranks of my successful students, let's get started! I specialise in GCSE and A-level exams. I've taught both Edexcel and AQA exam boards for over 20 years, and have been an Edexcel examiner. Beyond the classroom, I've held online Christmas and Easter revision sessions to help students perfect their exam technique. And if you're keen to master Spanish, I'm your go-to tutor! I also offer parents the opportunity to learn Spanish too. I can help you start your Spanish journey, with a reduced rate of £20.00, if you have booked tutoring for your child. I believe in creating a relaxed and stress-free atmosphere for my students to learn and shine. To do this, we kick off each session with a fun quiz or game to jog your memory on our previous lessons. I'll explain each grammar concept in English and give you plenty of chances to flex your skills and correct your own mistakes. After clearing up any doubts, we'll start to converse in Spanish to boost your confidence and fluency! I first started tutoring in 2001, with a few A-level students. From there, I started tutoring some students' parents and later worked with A-level students at a 6th form college and in the evening, tutoring adults in a local Adult Education centre. Making a difference in a student's life is what it's all about. Seeing a student achieve their "a-ha moment" is why I am passionate about teaching. I love learning languages myself and am currently working on improving my French and Portuguese. I know exactly how it feels to not feel too sure about getting things right in another language! I am also writing a bilingual children's book with my daughter and creating content for the new Spanish GCSE.
