A bit about Sikha

Having experienced challenges in learning and understanding throughout my studies so far, has shaped my desire to thoroughly understand concepts taught at school. From this, I have also developed a passion to help other people in their understanding, from classmates to younger students at school during lunch hour. I recently completed my A 'levels and I can definitely relate to most challenges that students are facing in their school work. Above all, I am a firm believer in the growth mindset, which is something I'd like to share with my tutees. I also strongly encourage my tutees to pursue STEM careers, especially the girls, through boosting their confidence and nurturing their existing curiosity and interest. I am not just committed to helping my students pass, I help them understand the material they study as well. I specialise in GCSE & A level Maths, however I also teach KS3 and primary level maths. OCR, Edexcel, AQA I love reading books and watching formula 1 I am an engineer by profession, but I have spent a long time tutoring. I struggled in high school in my first year in high school and had to self teach a lot of concepts. After that I was able to explain things to my peers and from that point I enjoyed teaching and explaining complex things to people. I normally like to let students have a go at a problem to help me identify any knowledge gaps, which allows me to find the correct tools and exercises for explaining the given concepts. I use a lot of visual aids and real life examples to explain concepts. I formally started tutoring in 2013 during my summer holiday.
