A bit about Heena T

The general framework that I use, tweak and personalise for each student is as follows: 1. Gauging the student’s current ability 2. Developing a schedule/timetable with concrete milestones with input from the student 3. Theory-based learning 4. Practice 5. Some more practice! My go-to method to help students is past paper practice, as it allows us to cover a broad range of topics, learn exam-specific tips and tricks and, more importantly, build the student's confidence in their ability to solve an actual exam. Sticking to recent past papers ensures that our learning meets the latest requirement and is specific to the student's exam board and tier. Hi, this is Heena! I achieved 8A* and 2As in my GCSE O-Levels in all science subjects and scored an A* in Mathematics and As in Physics and Biology in A-levels. I have been teaching GCSE Maths since appearing for my A-Levels (10+ years and for the past four years on MyTutor and Superprof), which has allowed me to develop a fantastic grasp on not only the material but the best way to convey it! I am a fun-loving, friendly person with a pleasant demeanor. My optimistic nature helps me develop a rapport with all my students, making learning all the more enjoyable for us. I specialise in Maths GCSE, IGCSE, CIE and A-levels. I have tons of experience with all exam board and try my hardest to stay up-to-date with any changes! I hope for the student to walk away more confident and ready in the subject. My philosophy is simple: With each lesson, I want the student to need me less and less and succeed independently!
