Hello! I’m Vidhi, a First Class BSc Management graduate from the University of Warwick. My favourite subject is Business management, I have studied it since grade 9 and was the subject topper throughout high school. I even received an award for academic excellence within Business Management. I am passionate about the subject and thoroughly enjoy teaching and supporting others with this subject. Apart from Business, I also enjoy teaching ESS and consistently received the highest marks within my grade. I can support students with both one-off lessons and regular weekly lessons to support them with doubts, course content, notes or guide them with classwork. I am also happy to support students with their Business and ESS IA. Having undertaken the IB course I understand the difficulties students face and am keen to support and guide them on their IB journey. I am very flexible and am happy to adapt to a student’s preferred learning style, as I would like the student to feel comfortable and get the most out of our lessons. For most classes, in the first 30 minutes of the class, I explain the subject content and go through the student's queries. After which, we go over practice questions as well as exam-style questions. These are crucial to help the student apply their learnings and consolidate subject content. It also helps build their confidence. Students tend to value my tutoring for several reasons. Firstly, I tailor my explanations to suit their unique learning styles, making complex topics more accessible. Additionally, I create a supportive atmosphere, encouraging questions and addressing any uncertainties they may have. Through a combination of patience and enthusiasm, I strive to make the learning process engaging and enjoyable, helping students build confidence in their abilities. My favorite aspect of tutoring is witnessing the moment when a student grasps a challenging concept or achieves a breakthrough in their understanding. It's incredibly rewarding to contribute to their academic growth and see the positive impact of our collaborative learning journey. It is helping a struggling student not only improve their grades but also develop a newfound confidence and passion for the subject. Seeing a student transition from confusion and frustration to a place of understanding and enthusiasm is great to see. Such success goes beyond academic achievements and extends to the overall personal and intellectual growth of the student. It has been great to see the joy and success of students exceed their academic goals for the subject. My teaching philosophy centers around fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment. I believe in tailoring my approach to each student's unique needs, recognizing that individuals have diverse learning styles, strengths, and challenges. I aim to inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning by making lessons engaging and relevant. I value the importance of creating a supportive atmosphere where students feel encouraged to ask questions, express their thoughts, and learn from both successes and mistakes. I strive to not only impart knowledge but also to nurture essential skills such as problem-solving, effective communication, and independent thinking.
