A bit about Raziah

Hello, I am Raziah! I am a Bachelor of Arts English graduate who has had five years of experience in tutoring. Through my degree, I have developed my knowledge of English, which has helped evolve my writing and communication skills needed for students. From my experience of tutoring, I have become skilled at working with children from the ages of 7 to 16. I understand and can accommodate my student's individual needs. I also have many resources and personalised lessons prepared already that I have created through my tutoring career. My greatest success with teaching is improving a GCSE student's English grade. They were a student who had moved to England 2 years ago and found English difficult. They got a four on their mock test, but with my help and the resources I gave them, they got a seven. It was, in particular, my interest to make them feel determined and work to the best of their ability to surpass their target grade of a five. What my students love the most about my teaching style is the way I break down my lessons in an easy-to-understand and straightforward way that doesn't leave them confused. For example for my GCSE students, I break down how to write an essay by telling them exactly what they need to include in each paragraph. I additionally, give them sentence starters and go over their writing thoroughly with feedback. I teach from Years 3 to 11. I can help you with any exam board. I specialise in teaching English which includes preparations for exams such as SATs and GCSEs. I can also teach students who are in need of learning English.
