A bit about Elena D

I am a teacher with over 20 years of experience teaching and tutoring learners of varied ages, abilities and interests both in the UK and abroad. For the past twelve years, I have been happy to work as a private tutor with students who inspire and motivate me to continue in my profession.  I have been teaching ever since I graduated from the Pedagogical Institute over 20 years ago; working in schools, both abroad and in the UK, mainstream and special needs. I teach to children and adults of varied ages, abilities and backgrounds on a one-to-one basis as well as in small groups. My approach to teaching is always personal. I begin by understanding who my students are and what they want to learn; devise study plans and prepare the necessary learning materials based on the learning objectives of each of my students. I welcome regular feedback, assess progress and adjust our studies accordingly. A qualified teacher of Russian language and Art I have been working with KS1 and KS2 children teaching them Maths and English language since 2020. I perform initial assessments, identify learning gaps and devise study plans aimed at helping learners reach their full potential.
