A bit about Stephen C

I have been a Psychology and Sociology Tutor in the classroom and in private tuition, whether face to face or online. Over the years I have used a variety of teaching matters and will no difficulty in adapting my teaching method and style depending upon learners needs. From my experiences I have taught one to one and tutoring learners in groups. I have taught Psychology and Sociology to GCSE, A Level, Access to HE and at undergraduate level, with awareness and knowledge of the content and the assessment criteria. The subjects I specialise in are Psychology, Sociology and Criminology. I am qualified in these subjects from my B.Sc. (Hons). and my M.Sc in the Applied Behavioural Sciences, which examines these three subjects as combined and separate disciplines. Additionally, I hold the PGCE teaching qualification which enables me to teach Psychology, Sociology and Criminology combined with my B.Sc.(Hons). and my M.Sc. The lessons start off with a discussion with the students as to their learning needs, The subject area will be dilivered accorsingly where a theory of concept is discussed and explained with conclusions drawn. Usually an examination question will follow. I explain and discuss with the students the content and requirements relevant to the marking scheme, which I explain to the student. I started tutoring in the 1990s in the classroom. This process is ongoing now. In 2002, I started private tuition face to face and I am still undertaking private tutoring today. From 2018, I undertook online tuition, using a variety of platforms including skype, zoom and microsoft teams. I developed the skills of using the online platform and shared powerpoints, the interactive whiteboard and other methods of online learning. I started tutoring in the 1990s in the classroom. This process is ongoing now. In 2002, I started private tuition face to face and I am still undertaking private tutoring today.
