A bit about Kwame D

I started tutoring over 20 years ago, helping students with their school mathematics My philosophy is in line with the saying “ the essence of mathematics is not to make simple things complicated, but to make complicated things simple.” I also believe that mathematics can be accessible to everyone to varying levels of proficiency initially and that everyone is capable of pushing the boundaries. A PGCE in secondary mathematics and a masters in mathematical modelling in electrical engineering. My engineering background and interest in mathematics and physics makes me understand the relevance of most of everyday mathematics. Pearson Edexcel, AQA, OCR and IBO. I prefer KS4 and sixth form - both A level and IB Chess, football, web design and music Students love mostly the fact that I always relate mathematics to everyday life, making my examples as simple and practical as possible. I believe in putting maths in context most of the time. Most students love my humour and approachable but professional nature. Being able to help more and more students get to like mathematics more and more. The fact that my students end up being better at the subject irrespective of their starting point.
