A bit about Azra S

As a passionate educator with a strong background in maths and English, I have always found joy in tutoring students and helping them excel in their academic journeys. Over the years, my expertise in maths tutoring has grown substantially, especially in the realm of 11 plus topics, which I have been focusing on for the past five years. My experience in teaching English globally has equipped me with the skills to engage students of various age groups effectively. When planning a lesson I try to highlight the student's individual learning style, address their specific areas of difficulty, and integrate practical examples and exercises to enhance their understanding. This could involve a mix of visual aids and real-world applications to make abstract concepts more tangible and relatable for the student. I always encourage interactive learning and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement in the student's abilities. 11 plus maths, English Verbal reasoning and Non-verbal reasoning. I also help pupils with creative writing, and general support for any school subject, especially maths. EFL (English as a foreign language). I have a lot of experience tutoring these subjects. , both in school settings and in smaller groups or one to one. I try to make sure my lessons are both highly interactive and interesting, my main goal is always for the children to actually enjoy learning. I started tutoring maths as a teenager, helping both peers and younger pupils. In my twenties I started tutoring ESL and working in certain summer camps. It became my main profession roughly 9 years ago. I love it when children slowly become more confident, and seeing their change in their approach to a subject or particular topic. It makes me especially happy when they actually start to see the fun side of learning and begin to actually enjoy the lessons. I generally try to make learning fun, and interesting. For example I try to teach the children that maths is like solving a puzzle, and can be thought of like almost a mystery game. It's also important to connect it to everyday life, so they can really understand how we actually do maths in some way or another all the time. I feel children really start to enjoy maths this way. I like helping people learn, gain confidence and love to watch them advance, sometimes in topics they never thought they would ever understand.
