A bit about Flavia

My name is Flavia and I am a tutor with over 5 years of experience. In these years, I have helped many students transform their skills in the classroom as well as improved grades. I will analyse each student's strengths and weaknesses thoroughly and ensure the delivered teaching is aligned with the student's needs, so every session can be used to its utmost potential. I achieved a First Class in my bachelor’s degree, BA Accounting and Finance. I have 10 A*-C GCSE’s including English, Maths and Science. I specialise in Maths up to GCSE level. I have always loved teaching Maths and learning it. I can also teach English and Science up to Year 6. • Engaging learning: My sessions are interactive and full of exciting activities to make subjects like English and Maths come alive. • Building Confidence: I work to boost students’ self esteem and self-assurance. Confidence is a key ingredient for success and I make sure my students believe in themselves. • Practical Application: I connect theory to real-life scenarios, helping students understand the relevance of what they’re learning and how it applies to the world around them. • Progress Assessment: I regularly assess your progress and provide detailed feedback, to ensure we stay on track and adapt our strategy as needed. • Exam Success: I will equip you with the knowledgeable and strategies you need to excel. I started tutoring 6 years ago at a tuition centre and have been tutoring in different centres and privately since then. I have taught over 20 children and have enjoyed it thoroughly. I find the subject of Maths challenging in terms of both my own understanding of it and how I might communicate it to others. I enjoy the creative aspect of teaching English and seeing how creative students can be. • Engaging learning: My sessions are interactive and full of exciting activities to make subjects like English and Maths come alive. • Building Confidence: I work to boost students’ self esteem and self-assurance. Teaching children new things and boosting their self- and academic-confidence are two things I'm very passionate about. I believe that my passion for studying makes me an excellent tutor since it pushes me to always learn new things, which I can then impart to the kids. My daily goals have are to be positive, have an open mind, and have high standards. I think it's my duty to the community and my students to approach my work with consistency, diligence, and love, with the hope that I could eventually promote and inspire such qualities in the kids as well. Whenever I can, I try to make my classes enjoyable. Not only is my laid-back approach appropriate for a wide range of subjects and academic levels, but I can also modify it to meet the needs of any particular student. I believe that developing myself as an instructor has been my biggest teaching achievement. which, in my opinion, is a result of each and every pupil I have had the privilege of teaching. My pupils have pushed me to become an expert in my field by demanding that I know it by heart. First class honours in BA Accounting and Finance. 10 A*-C in GCSE’s including English, Maths and Science. Tutoring for 5+ years. When I was much younger I struggled at school and I had a tutor for a few subjects who helped me improve and achieve what I have. I desired to do the same for children and help them through their struggles. Years 1 to 6 for English and Science Years 1 to 11/GCSE’s for Maths (edexcel, AQA and OCR)
