A bit about Harriet L

I am an experienced primary school teacher as well as private tutor. I have tutored many children very successfully for the 11+ and supported children with yr2 and yr5 Sats. I also support many children to increase their confidence and knowledge in all areas of Maths and English. I specialise in all primary subjects including 11+, SATs and Phonics I always keep lessons fun and engaging so children enjoy their sessions. I use a range of different teaching strategies as everyone learns differently so each session is tailored to each individual child. I started my own tutoring business over 6 years ago and have been tutoring ever since as well as still teaching in school. I love helping children to grow in confidence in their learning and gain a great understanding in order to make their learning easier. I use a variety of teaching strategies as every child learns differently. I love the lightbulb moment when a child suddenly understands a tricky concept or when they are delighted with having achieved something that they had previously found difficult. I teach KS1 and KS2, including 11+ and common entrance Outside of teaching I love riding my horses and being active! I love any form of exercise! I have a BEd Primary Teaching degree with QTS and I have a DBS Students love that my lessons are fun and enjoyable. Children love coming back for their next lessons.
