A bit about Isaac B

I’m an experienced BSL interpreter and translator, working with deaf and hard of hearing people for over 18 years. Currently, I’m a freelancer mostly working with the royal school for the deaf in Derby but also for many agencies across the country. Since working with translation and video editing my speciality is the translation of complex technical materials and anything of a religious or IT nature. Currently I work with deaf students on various courses including, mechanics, floristry, and catering. Due to intensive training involved in this type of work, I have formulated my own training programs and am prepared to teach the the grammar and vocabulary necessary to communicate about any subject in sign language. Since sign language is a visual language, I usually focus on visual aids to help memorise the vocabulary in each lesson. Also, I believe in making the learning and practice sessions fun and building firm foundations so students understand what their learning too.
