A bit about Aaisha N

I have a BA (Hons) degree in Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status and presently working as a supply teacher. I have gained experience teaching across the Primary phase and Early Years. I have experience working in a range of schools with different demographics, including schools in very deprived settings, creating an inclusive, nurturing and accepting environment in my classroom for all children of all religions, cultures, and backgrounds. I specialise in tutoring EYFS, KS1 and KS2 children. I have a good understanding and experience in preparing children for SATS and other formative assessments. I specialise in maths, English, Science and Phonics. My lesson plans are determined by my student's pace and understanding. Before introducing new learning, it is fundamental to assess children’s existing knowledge. For example, I do this through a series of timed, quick-fire maths questions that recall prior learning. Learning is then delivered to children in small chunks and modelling. This enables children to retain the learning and does not cognitively overload them. I challenge all students by offering challenge questions to deepen their understanding. At the end of the lesson, I test my pupils understanding as this will provide me with an insight into how well the children have grasped the learning. Learning is underpinned by the National Curriculum requirements. I have experience teaching from reception to year 6. My outside interests are travelling to many places to explore new cultures, going to the gym and learning new skills. Visiting new places allows me to learn more about the world around us, and can be valuable for history and geography lessons when learning about certain places. I love going to the gym as it enables me to challenge and push myself to become physically and mentally stronger. I have a BA (Hons) degree in Primary Education and Early Years with Qualified Teacher status (QTS). As a primary school teacher, I have a strong passion for teaching both maths and English. My passion for English at a young age led to me pursuing an A level in English Language. I love sharing my passion for English by creating cross-curricular links with other subjects and providing children with the foundation for all other academic knowledge and skills. I was inspired to become a teacher to contribute to my community in a meaningful way. being a teacher is one of the most direct ways to make an impact, and I was driven by the desire to help those around me. Teachers do more than just teach, they are a child's friend and confidant. Teaching is an invaluable contribution to the community. I strive to use the curriculum as a basis to plan and teach inspiring and engaging lessons, along with injecting as much creativity and excitement as possible. I consider it essential for children's learning to be creative and have plenty of exciting opportunities for children to stay stimulated and interested. I have been tutoring since the start of this academic year. My teaching style is primarily centred around my pupils' interests and needs. I personalise learning and adapt lessons to suit the ability of my pupils. The student-centred approach puts the child at the centre of the learning process. My favourite aspect of being a tutor is providing my pupils with high-quality teaching to help them reach their optimal success. I love being a part of my pupil's learning journey to success and supporting them on their journeys. My goal as a tutor is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment that enables each child to feel confident. I aim to bring an open mind, high expectations and a positive mind to my pupils each day. I have high expectations for my pupils and sharing these contributes to the team mentality, that we are all working together to do our best. I am devoted to championing every pupil and working hard to ensure each pupil is successful in their learning and life, through encouraging pupils and supporting their needs. As a teacher, my greatest accomplishment has been helping pupils catch up on their learning due to the pandemic. Providing extra support and tailored learning enabled all my pupils to make good progress. My teaching styles have positively influenced the growth and success of my pupils.
