A bit about Eve G

Hi, I'm Eve and I have 20 years of teaching and tutoring experience. I am also an examiner for A-level Biology/Marine Biology, GCSE Science, and BTEC Applied Science. I have always been passionate about Science and have been lucky enough to work in genetics and molecular Biology research. I worked as a secondary science teacher for 19 years. I had vast experience teaching A-level Biology, GCSE Biology, chemistry and physics, Key Stage 3, and Level 3 BTEC Applied Science to all ages and abilities. Currently, I am studying for an MSc in Dietetics and enjoying putting the theory of Biochemistry and physiology into clinical practice. £40/hour-KS3/GCSE £45/hour- A-level Biology/Level 3 BTEC Applied Science I offer bespoke lessons tailored to the needs of the learner and due to my experience in teaching different abilities, I can empathise with the barriers individuals can have with learning and understanding the Science curriculum. My sessions involve a variety of activities including utilising my experience as an examiner to effectively answer exam questions. I believe it is also important to teach the skills of 'How Science Works' alongside the content and theory of the subject. As a teacher, I have always had positive relationships with my students. I am approachable and non-judgemental, taking time out for my students should they require help and guidance. I have a deep understanding of others' specific strengths development needs and motivation. I have good communication skills enabling me to explain complex topics in an easy-to-understand way.
