A bit about Lisa E

I am an experienced multi lingual teacher who loves to travel and meet people from around the world. I have taught in the UK, across Europe and Asia - face to face and online. I work with Secondary pupils and adult learners from A1 beginners, through GCSE and upto A Level. I'm a well qualified native (British) English speaker with degree level French, German and Spanish and a Masters focusing on language acquisition. I've a postgraduate teaching certificate and Cambridge Diploma in supporting EFL students. I'm currently teaching at an Independent School. I work with international students studying towards IGCSE or IELTS exams. We cover a range of curriculum areas together. I have particular responsibility for academic progress across the Sixth Form, I have supported hundreds of students with their personal statements and UCAS applications to popular courses at Russell Group universities and competitive medical schools. I’ve been a speaking examiner for several years so many students like a mock speaking test to beat those nerves, improve pronunciation or revise key conversation questions to feel more confident before a trip abroad. I’m also happy to provide feedback on a short piece of written work or go through some activities practicising accuracy with grammar. Some students also like to read texts together to improve their vocabulary and understanding but it’s really up to you. If you have just an hour or longer to work on and develop your language skills, I can be flexible to suit your needs and different time-zones where necessary.
