A bit about Matthew D

I’m a qualified primary school teacher and have been working in education since 2008. I’m an ex police officer, a polar explorer, a YouTuber, a member of mountain rescue to mention but a few . I love to inspire and help those in need. I’m a primary teacher with a degree in art/photography. I’m also a geography specialist due to my experience with travel and the many countries I’ve visited. My lessons are always successful, even if the success isn’t the initial one planned. I find getting to know a student and planning the lesson for them offers the greatest amount of success. I first started working in education in 2008. This was working with primary children. I have taught adults and elderly people and coached them in how to use technology. The thing I love the most about teaching my subjects is my enthusiasm and how it rubs off on others. I like to learn about the students and tailor the lesson to them, this will ensure a lesson that is interesting. I teach with a lot of energy and apparently a lot of hand movements. I love to inspire others and light a spark within them. I love it when students become inspired and you can see the fire burn within them. My teaching philosophy is ; the best way to learn is to teach. My energy and enthusiasm I teach primary age children. Year one to year six I love hiking, travelling, comedy and food. I also am a massive fan of technology. To inspire the next generation of children. Seeing children come back as adults to thank me
