A bit about Emily

I am a recently qualified Primary Teacher, with experience teaching in both KS2 and KS1 classrooms. I also have experience with Special Educational Needs, having previously worked as a 1-2-1 Teaching Assistant in a SEND classroom. English is my strongest subject, having studied Writing as part of my BA degree and English Literature at A-Level. I like to make learning fun, engaging, and interactive. Learning dependant, I use approaches such as games, quizzes, videos, songs and other resources. I also use positive encouragement and praise to boost learning, as it builds confidence in the subject/topic. Friendly, relaxed and conversational. I feel communication and interaction working both ways is more productive than being dictated to for an hour! I first became inspired to teach when working as a teaching assistant. I saw that impact that teachers can have on children's lives. I believe that every child deserves the whole-hearted support and encouragement of a good teacher.
