A bit about Zain A

Hi everyone! My name is Zain, I’m a current FY1 doctor. I have a keen interest in teaching with 6 years teaching experience. I have taught a wide range of subjects, including Biology, Anatomy and History. I have done so at a variety of levels, including GCSE, A-Level and undergraduate-level. Having tutored many future doctors on the best strategies to get into medical school I understand the nuances that are required to secure an offer post MMI or panel interview. Additionally, I have a special interest in reviewing personal statements, to give your application an edge above the rest. I have undertaken national teaching initiatives for medical students globally. If there are any particular times you want to do the lessons, please let me know. I am excited to help you reach your goals as best as I can. Chemistry, Biology, and History are the subjects that I specialise in and are of great interest to me even while working as a doctor. Having gone through the process myself, I am also able to prepare students for medical school applications and the processes related to that. Additionally, I am able to teach subjects studied at degree level for Medicine, such as: Anatomy and Physiology. I am familiar with the specifications of the various exam boards that I teach. In my lessons, I ensure that all content sufficiently covered. To overcome "exam nerves", I collate past paper questions by topic, and complete these questions with my students as we progress through the content of the syllabus. I have found this to be the most efficient method of preparation to maximise marks on exams. I also let the student direct their learning towards areas they need more help in, while reviewing topics they are more confident with at intermittent stages. I have witnessed my students develop greatly and grow into successful university students.
