A bit about Tom F

I have over 13 years experience of teaching (and tutoring) English. I love to help people improve, and have successfully brought hundreds of students to subject fruition over the years. I look forward to working with you! I specialise in teaching English language and literature at key stages 3 and 4 (AQA exam board). I also have extensive experience in teaching functional skills English at all levels (Pearson/Edexcel exam board). Specifically, I teach the following texts at GCSE level: - An Inspector Calls - Macbeth - A Christmas Carol - Jekyll and Hyde - Power and Conflict poetry - Unseen poetry I love seeing people of all backgrounds and abilities improving in English. There is nothing more gratifying to me than helping people of all ages achieve their learning potentials and broaden their horizons! Successful teaching is all about patience and accessibility: being able to teach at a speed, and in ways that a learner can access, are the most important variables for student success. A teacher's job is to make learning accessible to the student; a student must feel as though the pace and style of the teaching and learning works for them, so that the results they will achieve are optimal.
