A bit about Jonathan

I have taught classes and 1 to 1 for more than 30 years. Teaching at all levels up to undergraduates. I have been Head of Department and Principal of a HE college and a GCSE and A level examiner and have lots of experience in making learning engaging, relevant and easily understood, as well as getting students through exams. I teach Business Studies up to degree level, Maths and Economics to GCSE, and study skills. I specialise in maximising students' grades, working on exam technique, revision tips and confidence. Lessons are designed to reinforce the information that has already been taught, as well as for students to appreciate the reason for learning something. Time is also given in lessons to allow students to make connections with other topics and areas that they are already familiar with. Lessons focus on exam technique, how to maximise exam grades and to reinforce learning, ensure all the detail of each topic is covered and material is taught in a memorable and engaging way. I have been teaching for more than 30 years My style is relaxed, approachable, direct in my communication and clear in my delivery. I have a degree in Business Studies and a PGCE in Business Education. I also have a Master's in Research and Autism Students report being much clearer about how to answer exams, how to read exam questions and structure their answers to maximise marks efficiently. I love enabling a student to boost their understanding of the subject, to make learning relevant and engaging and to build confidence and enable students to think more critically as well as teaching students how to learn and revise.
