A bit about N Jane

I have a passion for teaching. I have taught for over 37 Years. I have an MA in Education as well as a Teaching Degree. I have taught for over 30 Years in Primary and Middle Schools from four to 13 years Old. I have a special interest in Science and have co-ordinated Science Education in Schools. I have experience of teaching at College and University level where I have gained over ten years additional experience in roles such as supporting Primary Teachers on Teaching Practice. I am up-to date with all the teaching methods which work. Recently, I have been focusing on the teaching of English in its many forms such as speaking and listening. I have also tutored for over seven Years. Currently, I am only teaching online. I plan my lessons out carefully. Also, I am adaptable and adapt to the needs of the students. I usually start with the objectives so the students know what to expect and the direction of learning. I like to have a short input session followed by activities which are fun and interesting. Then after that there may be another input session. This again will be followed by engaging and exciting student activities. I often use exciting PowerPoints so the student can keep these to help them remember the topics. At the end of the session there is an opportunity to feedback and to add ideas for future lessons. I specialise in Primary and Middle English and Science (to Year 8). I can also, help with revision skills and SATs. I have taught on the PGCE and can help students with this too. I am up to date with professional developments in these areas. I have had some experience of teaching students with Special Educational Needs.
