A bit about Bonham B

My tutoring approach isn't one-size-fits-all, as I prefer to adapt my tutoring style to meet the individual needs and requirements of my tutees. Everybody works differently and in my view they deserve a uniquely tailored tutoring plan that is cognisant of the kind of learner they are. I am personable and friendly, and the proudest feedback I've received is when one of my former tutees told me that our sessions felt more like a productive conversation rather than a typical 'dull lesson'. I love fostering people's passions for academia and working with a diverse range of backgrounds. Hello, I'm Bonham - a second-year Historian at the University of the Cambridge and the first in my family to pursue higher education. Since 2019, I have tutored in A Level English Literature, English Language and History and helped demystify the university and Oxbridge process by supporting many students' applications. I am half-Italian and was fortunate enough to spend a summer abroad teaching English in Salerno for ages roughly 10-17. I also spent three years volunteering at my local library which doubled as a safe space for homeless and vulnerable persons. Undoubtedly it was my EPQ mentor. He was my first taste of real 1-1 teaching and I immensely valued that face-to-face time and personal interaction. Unlike in a chaotic classroom setting, I was able to have all my academic questions genuinely answered and in such a timely way which allowed us to then go beyond the course specification and engendered in me a deep appreciation for intellectual pursuit.
