A bit about Hesham, M.d

Hey ! I’m Hesham, a science enthusiast and tutor with 5 years of experience tutoring Biology, Chemistry, and Medicine. I hold a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with distinction with 3 years of clinical experience. When i’m not at the clinic treating people, I like to share my knowledge, help people reach their fullest potential academically and find science as simple to understand as I do. I'm an expert in Biology at all levels, Chemistry at GCSE level and all Medical school modules in any year. I have done GCSEs and A-levels in these subjects myself and achieved exceptional grades. I’ve been a physician since 2020 and i’ve been tutoring since I was a student at medical school. I have a very deep understanding of Biology and Chemistry since my degree included a 2 year pre-medicine prerequisite (Diploma in health sciences). I’ve tutored medical students, nursing students, A-level students, GCSE students and even casual learners. During the introduction, the student, the parents and I always discuss his/her strengths and weaknesses and the topics they don’t currently feel confident in. We then come up with a schedule the student is comfortable with that divides our lessons into time spent 1. explaining concepts, 2. engaging in open discussions about topics we have studied, and 3. solving past paper questions together. Some students require more intensive past paper revisions which I gladly offer. I always give my students a short homework made up of a compilation of hand picked past paper questions related to the topic we have covered. I genuinely believe students learn best with discussion and interaction. I give my students a chance to express themselves and explain to me what they’ve understood after i’ve finished explaining myself. This solidifies concepts in their minds and allows me to clear out any misunderstandings. P.S: My approach is 100% exam centered and I utilize all the resources students need to pass their exams including past papers, videos, flashcards, models, etc. I’ve had a lot of success stories with GCSE and A level students, many of them achieved 9s and A*, however there is a student I will never forget. I once had the pleasure of teaching a medical student who had difficulties with her human anatomy module in 3rd year of medical school. The module had half of the academic year’s credits so she had to get a C grade or above if she wanted to keep her hopes of progressing to the next year. I tutored her for 8 months for 2 hours a day, discussing all the topics of Anatomy and Neuroanatomy. She passed the module with a B+ and is now a successful doctor, treating patients and saving lives. I’m proud of the both of us for believing in ourselves and staying true to the goal till the very end. My repeat students love that I am not just an hourly tutor to them. I am a source of support to them in that subject inside and outside of lessons. I constantly monitor their performance, give feedback and advice, check if they did their homework, and am available to guide them in between lessons. Its important for a student to feel like they’re not on their own in that subject and to receive honest feedback about where they stand in the curve. I have a : IGCSE with an A (8) in Biology and Chemistry. A level in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with distinction. 3 years clinical experience in Medicine and surgery 5 years tutoring experience from Medical students to high school students to casual learners. Witnessing students succeed & my students remembering me even years after working together. I can teach all exam boards of GCSE and A-level as the content is very similar. I have extensive experience with AQA, EDEXCEL, and CIE. I can teach any module/ subject in MBBS, Mbchb from any university in the UK.
