A bit about Aran J

I specialise in GCSE subjects such as Maths, Biology and Chemistry. I teach Biology and Chemistry A-Level as well. I have been helping students with Medicine applications for over 5 years, as well as helping those secure places at Oxbridge for a number of subjects. I have also helped students prepare for aptitude tests and other entrance exams. I started tutoring when I was in sixth form (7 years ago) helping those through their GCSEs. Then started tutoring at university and began to help people through their A-Levels, medicine applications and Oxbridge applications, as well as tutoring those in the years below me at Oxford University. I like to have interactive sessions with my students. I would typically start by introducing a topic and some new concepts, but I would then like to check knowledge retention with questions to best prepare students for their exams. I also strive to keep an open dialogue with students so that they can ask questions whenever they would like to! I enjoy teaching subjects that I am passionate about, and being able to help those develop a deeper understanding and enjoyment of these subjects is incredibly rewarding. I also enjoy building a relationship with my students and seeing them develop personally, as well as in the area that we are covering. I am a very open and charismatic character - I hope to bring a lot of interaction and energy to our sessions so that students find it fun! I have found this usually makes students interact better with topics that we are covering and enjoy the sessions that we have.
