English tutor of GCSE Language and Literature
I tutor English across Key Stage 3, GCSE and A level in your home and online.
Education and qualifications
I hold a 2:1 degree in English Literature. I studied at London University, Queen Mary College, after completing A Levels in London, U.K. and high school in Toronto, Canada. I completed the RSA/Cambridge TEFL course at International House, Piccadilly, London and hold the City and Guilds Certificate to teach Basic Skills Literacy.
Tutoring style
Each lesson is tailor made according to the student?s school/college curriculum and individual requirements. Each lesson compliments the work done at their institution, by clarifying any areas of uncertainty and building upon the student?s understanding. I support students throughout the academic year and provide revision techniques nearer to examinations. I use online activities and resources where appropriate, if the student is agreeable with this method. My lessons are engaging, motivational and encouraging. The student learns how to approach the subject in a manner which improves grades.
