A bit about Stephanie

Hola! My name is Stephanie and I am passionate about sciences. Ever since I was young, I knew that I wanted to make learning easier and more enjoyable for others. I began my career as a Spanish assistant at a great grammar school and have since gained experience in different environments and subjects. My speciality is in Maths and Spanish, but I also have a strong interest in Sciences, particularly Biology. I am an environmental student with Edexcel and AQA experience in Maths, Biology, and Spanish. Edexcel and AQA for GCSE subjects. And For A levels in Spanish I enjoy cooking and watching international movies. I'm a passionate swimmer with an interest in snorkelling I grew up watching some of my schoolmates struggle to get the grades they wanted, all because of standardized lessons. I learned Maths through different teachers, but the one that stuck with me was a primary teacher who made Maths look fun rather than scary. From there came my passion to teach in a more suitable way. I have 6 to 7 years of experience working in UK schools. From teacher assistant, to private tutor. My current degree is in Environmental Management The greatest joy for me is to witness the happiness and confidence of my students as they complete their exams with flying colors. Teaching isn't just about imparting information that can be found on the internet. It's about building connections with students to understand their motivations and the purpose of their education. Everybody learns in a different way, at different speeds. You just need to see which one works for you, and I can help you discover it. Same way as in Science, trial and error is key. Active learning, asking questions to the students to recall what they have just learnt. When the students can work independently I started early, creating a homework club in high school where we would help each other with homework. As a language assistant, I continue to enjoy sharing my knowledge and helping others. I would start with a student assessment, as a guide to plan the lessons.
