I am a Teacher of English in a secondary school in the UK. I have been teaching for 6 years with 4 years of experience of coaching young people of all ability levels through GCSE English. I deliver bespoke teaching and will push you to achieve your highest potential in a warm environment. I aim to develop confidence in written and verbal communication, as well as helping to find effective reading strategies that work and are tailored to your reading level. I have worked as an examiner for AQA for the past two exam series, both on English Language Paper 2 and on English Literature Paper 1: the 19th Century Novel. I have a strong understanding of the skills needed to be successful at GCSE and will work hard with you to ensure that you feel prepared, with a clear understanding of the demands of each paper. I am a keen reader with a real passion for my subject. I hope to share my excitement about texts and characters with you: everyone should take pleasure in a good story!
