A bit about Abdul M

I am currently a 3rd year medical student at the University of Cambridge. I have been tutoring GCSEs, A-Levels, and Medicine applications/interviews for the past 3 years. Several of my students have received offers from the University of Cambridge to study Medicine. I achieved 3A*s at A-Levels (Biology, Chemistry and Maths) and 9s at GCSEs. I undertook my GCSEs in only a year (due to complications with living in the USA for a while). During my studies in the USA, I was nominated as the student of the year in high school for various subjects and was ranked in the top 10% (Rank 8 of 1162). I also took AP (Advanced Placement) classes during my time in America. I achieved a silver award on the intermediate biology Olympiad during my A-Levels. I was also nominated as a STEM scholar by my previous schools. I will be graduating with an integrated BSc from the University of Cambridge by the end of this academic year (2024) and with my medicine degree by 2027. I teach Biology, Chemistry and Maths at A-Levels. I teach Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Combined Science, and Maths at GCSEs and have taught different exam boards. I can also provide advice with medicine applications (personal statement advice, clinical experience advice, interview prep etc) and also provide Oxbridge mock interviews. I am currently intercalating in Psychology at the University of Cambridge and have recently been focusing on Learning and Memory. I have recently completed a dissertation on the interplay between Alzheimer’s disease and the process of memory reconsolidation. I also work in the lab and am undertaking a research project on the effects of early life stress on the prefrontal cortex. In terms of tutoring, I specialise in Medicine application advice and providing Oxbridge mock interviews. I also specialise in teaching GCSE sciences and maths as well as teaching Biology at A-level. I also teach Cemistry and Maths at A-Levels I ensure all my lessons are adapted to the students exam board and tailor each lesson to specific specification points. I the provide past exam paper questions specific to the respective spec points and walkthrough some questions with the student to critique and improve exam technique. I point out to the student exactly how to get the maximum amount of marks for each question.
