A bit about Will K

Master’s student in Russian and East European Studies at University of Oxford. First-class History and Politics graduate from the University of Warwick. Founder and Managing Director of Europinion - an independent youth-led political platform Passionate about helping students realise their potential and get the most out of history and politics! I first started tutoring aged 15 through Kumon. Ever since, I have tutored alongside my studies. I have just under a decade's worth of experience in tutoring, with a special focus on History and Politics. No matter your level, be it trying to attain an A* from a B, or even a pass from a fail, I am passionate about helping you reach your potential. Bespoke, tailor-made approach to ensure the student's educational needs and desires are considered as a priority I am determined in enabling students to unlock their potential; that potential may be a B to an A*; it may be from a fail grade to a pass. Either way, I am passionate about helping students maximise their potential. I have certainly benefited from tutors in the past and I have a desire to give back. GCSEs - History (A*), Politics (A*), English (A*) A-Levels - History (A*), Politics (A*) Degree - BA (Hons) in History and Politics (first class) Currently studying for a MPhil at the University of Oxford Outside of teaching, I am passionate about increasing youth engagement in politics through journalism. I am the founder and managing director of Europinion - an independent, youth-led media platform. My teaching philosophy is centred on motivating students to realise their full potential. I believe in cultivating curiosity by designing engaging lessons and fostering a growth mindset, where challenges are seen as opportunities for growth. Building meaningful connections with students and empowering their autonomy creates a supportive environment where they feel valued and encouraged to take ownership of their learning. I celebrate their progress and successes, reinforcing the value of perseverance and hard work. By continuously reflecting on my teaching practices and collaborating with stakeholders, I aim to inspire students to become lifelong learners who are empowered to make a positive impact on the world.
