A bit about Tyrone D

I've taught in various London schools and have enjoyed my time at all of them. For me, interacting with students who had creativity and curiosity on a daily basis was extremely rewarding and helping students to learn and make progress in a subject as important as science was highly motivating. Science is a fascinating subject and I love helping other people to see that. I specialise in Biology as a result of my Zoology degree and I teach Biology up to A Level. I am experienced in teaching all 3 GCSE Science subjects as combined science and Triple Science. I also have specialised experience in working with SEN students so I can adapt my teaching to support a wide range of needs and styles of learning. I'm a very communicative teacher, I regularly check in on understanding and give lots of opportunity for students to communicate their understanding to me. I prioritise teaching and learning to maximise the time I have with my students and avoid wasting time if I'm confident their understanding is where it should be. I believe learning should be fun and that is the path to success but I also have high expectations of my students.
