A bit about Sunny

I have taught and tutored Chemistry for over 20 years within schools, colleges and privately. During this time, I have been subject to a number of OFSTED inspections as part of my teaching. I am a registered member of the Royal Society of Chemistry. GCSE & A-Level Chemistry Topic is prepared with key ideas/ points. These are explained verbally with the use of a whiteboard. This is complemented with examples and practice. This is revisited through questioning. Exam paper style question and feedback completes a topic. 2000 The difficult nature of the subject and its application is a stumbling block for many students including the mathematical concepts. I enjoy breaking down the subject topic into small fragments and teaching it with emphasis and confidence. Verbal and visual explanations followed by directed questioning. Complementing the teaching with questions and answers and exam style questions and tailored feedback. Providing knowledge to students, ensuring that they are learning and progressing. Taking them from a place of difficulty to a place of confident ability. Every learner is different. I offer an array of teaching styles which complement learners and feedback consistently to ensure they are learning and improving. Patience, knowledge and empathy are key. Constant questioning and inundated exam practice scenarios. It keeps them on their toes! Providing a strong bridge for many many learners who have commenced Chemistry and achieved in it to progress to Higher Education. There is no better feeling than that. I am an examiner for A-Level Chemistry for all three exam boards and undertake marking and administrative duties if they arise. I also work with the RSC.
